In the second year of training The University of San Diego sends students on a ten-day study abroad program. Working with the Program Director and faculty, students decide on a destination that would enhance their training experience in general, or in relation to a specific upcoming MFA production.

Past trips have included workshops in London at Shakespeare's Globe, The Royal National Theatre, and a trip to Paris to visit La Comédie-Française.

The MFA Program provides the following:
$500 towards airfare and travel
Ten-day hotel accommodation with the group
Workshop fees (if applicable)
Tickets to a selected performance or event
