ADMISSION AND GENERAL INFORMATION
Admission to the program is highly competitive and is based on an application and audition process. Not every applicant will receive an audition. Because students perform with the professional company in the first year of training, the program most strongly considers those candidates whose previous training and experience suggest they are adequately prepared for advanced classical theatre training. Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited and approved institution. International students are welcome to apply to the MFA program; however they can not rely on financial assistance or awards from USD and must provide for financial support from non-university sources.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
All applications to The Globe Theatres/University of San Diego MFA in Dramatic Arts program must submit the materials listed below no later than January 15. PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION EARLY TO SECURE AN AUDITION.

1. Two (2) copies of the completed, signed application and personal profile responses.
2. A nonrefundable $45 application fee payable to the University of San Diego.
3. Two (2) current headshots and resumes.
4. Two (2) sets of official transcripts from all post-secondary educational institutions attended (can be mailed separately - will not delay application process).
Letters of recommendation are not required.
If you auditioned last year, your transcripts are the only thing still on file with USD. Please include a note stating you auditioned last year with your application. If it has been more than one year since you last auditioned, you must resubmit your transcripts.

Please send theses materials along with your application to:
