ADMISSION AND GENERAL INFORMATION
Admission to the program is highly competitive and is based on an application and audition process. Not every applicant will receive an audition. Because students perform with the professional company in the first year of training, the program most strongly considers those candidates whose previous training and experience suggest they are adequately prepared for advanced classical theatre training. Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited and approved institution. International students are welcome to apply to the MFA program.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
All applications to The Globe Theatres/University of San Diego MFA in Dramatic Arts program must mail the materials listed below with a postmark no later than January 3. No on-line submissions. PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION EARLY TO SECURE AN AUDITION.

1. Two copies of the completed, signed application and personal profile responses.
2. A nonrefundable $45 application fee payable to the University of San Diego with a personal or cashier's check. Credit cards not accepted.
3. Two current headshots and resumes. The same picture for both headshots is preferred.
4. Two sets of official transcripts from all post-secondary educational institutions attended (can be mailed separately - will not delay application process).

Letters of recommendation are not required. If you auditioned last year, your transcripts are the only thing still on file with USD. Please include a note stating you auditioned last year with your application. If it has been more than one year since you last auditioned, you must resubmit your transcripts. We must receive items 1, 2, and 3 from the above listed application pieces before we will call you to schedule an audition. Transcripts can arrive separately.
